It’s always fun to see how races set up their courses.
Here’s a video from a lap of Metal Cross, which somewhere up there between MPLS and St. Cloud.
The race was earlier this fall.
I wish I was going, but alas, other fun things conflict.
This is the first weekend in quite a while that I haven’t had a race of some sort and I’m suffering from some withdrawal already.
On the schedule is the final event in the Sioux Falls Cyclocross Series, Sledhill Cross at Upper Tuthill on Sunday, Oct. 27. Racing starts at noon. Should be a good one.
Then the season really starts to get interesting.
Velocross in Blaine, in the TC metro is Nov. 2-3. That’s a really big race this year and should be a lot of fun.
Then probably another off weekend.
Then the huge race in Iowa City, Jingle Cross Rock, Nov. 15-16-17.
Then another off weekend.
Then Cross for Tots in Ritchfield, Minn., Thanksgiving weekend. It should also be noted that Frosty Cross is that same weekend in LeMars. You should go. I can’t be there because I’ll be in the Twin Cities.
Right into the Minnesota State Championships Dec. 7-8.
Then I don’t know what, but Nationals are in Boulder Jan. 8-12.
